Can we talk about Cloning

Jackalope I got roots my second tray working 6 out of 10 roots will see in a few days if the 4 others will form. Yea your right about that it takes about 10 plus days to start to see the roots. I'm using those puds that are already moist. my first one they didn't take so the back up ones i added a little water with nutrients to the pods those took up good. Impressive i clone my first female. Funny I remember when I was in grade school teacher would show us about how to keep flowers and replanting.
She had all these plants on the window seals of the class room we learn everything in that class in those days. One class all subjects

Hi Guys well this is what I got I moved to my new house lots of snow up here internet is slow :( but hey its all good. I have a question I will be adding these girls in my green house come spring

I have some laughing buhda beans will start that soon.

If your going to be cloning more then just once.

You should think about making or buying a cheap spay/mist cloner.

They are the fastest most sure fire way of cloning that I have tried.

I bought my first one on ebay for about 30 US and then I made another one out of a 5gal bucket.

I take my cuts with my old clippers and do not use any gels or powers or 45 degree cuts and for sure no domes.

Domes make the cutting work backwards. They will start taking in a lot of their water through their leaves and they will also need to be hardened before moving out of the dome.

With a spay cloner the cutting works just like it had been working on the mother and it will take all of it's water from it's stem.

I use nothing but z7 water treatment and 9.4ph tap water in the cloner. Then take my cuts and put them in a foam collar and into the cloner.

Then keep them in the dark for 24hrs and then into the veg tent but off to the side or in the shade of one of the plants. They do not need full light until they have roots. The roots should show between 5 and 7 days from going in the cloner.

Once the roots show I will add a tiny bit of nutes and ph the water and let them go about 5 more days and then the roots should be about a foot long and ready to be moved with no need to be hardened.

The z7 keeps everything clean and the spay cloner makes it easy.

Hello:),

thank you for the valuable information. i just have one question, is this a typo or its correct "I use nothing but z7 water treatment and 9.4ph tap water in the cloner" ? appreciated

That is not a typo.

I use just z7 and 9.4 tap water right out of the tap until I have roots on my clones.

How I found z7 to begin with was a sample that came with my first spay cloner and it works like magic in it.

There is no need for razors or cleaning anything.

Just clip and stick into the cloner.

About 6 to 8 days from going in. They will have roots.

Then I will ph the water to 6.0 and give 1/4 nutes until the roots are about 10 to12" and then they move into the DWC with some roots pulled through the basket so they are in rez water from day one and off they will go.

Just do not give them to much light before they have roots and every leaf should stay green.

That's all I use as well. My well water is near 9.0 and I use it along with z7 in my bucket cloner and I've only started cloning not to long ago, but no problems with slimy water as I have used it for the last 1.5 years in both of my hydro reservoirs.
Great stuff

Hi guys all clones are now in my grow tent I got a Buddha water fountain at Wallmart on sale its for the humidity and it working but I need to change water every other day because there's no filter with this fountain. I thank you guys for all the help with cloning my Crown Royal. Fallow me on my other thread Grow journal I will need help succeeding this strain.

Hi guys a small update on my clones what you guys think there in the second week of flower. I wanted to bring them outside in may and have the sun do its work but this grow makes me nervous. First picture Mother on the left the right side are her clones. second picture are more clones of the same mother plant

Can't view either one of those. Some strains grow small buds. The more tops you have the smaller they are going to get. A plant can only produce so much product per root mass.

Well I will have to wait a few more weeks to see whats going to happen. at this point i'm just going to keep doing what i'm doing and take it day by day

A lot matters when you are in flower. I have a couple strains that never look like they will produce much tell the end. Then they bulk up and I'm smiling again
