The company announced today that it is acquiring one of the leading medical marijuana providers and pioneers in the industry in the state of Montana – Montana Pain Management Inc.
Montana Pain Management is a for-profit clinic which, in conjunction with duly licensed caregivers, provides a full range of cannabis therapeutics and other services to its patients throughout the state of Montana. It is unique in its dealing with the Department of Health & Human Services for the state of Montana’s Medicaid “spend down” program. This program allows for state-approved medical marijuana reimbursement for all qualifying patients.
The acquisition of Montana Pain Management is part of Cannabis Science’s overall strategic corporate plan. This is the second acquisition in about two months. As with its previous acquisition of Rockbrook, the deal provides a working clinic model and additional key experts working closely on the company’s expansion and market development.
