cooling 400W HID

hey guys just got an air cooled 400W HID and currently running a 4" inline right on the light through the tent. So it's about 80F in the tent should I be running a 6"? Thanks

If the light has an inline 4" hole, expanding it to six would not help... If you need to lower temps, you need to get some cooler air into the intake part. As long as it does not get much hotter than 80 you should be fine as is. Plants like 75 degrees to 80 or so. Just make sure they don't get hotter. Make sense? IN summer will it get too hot?

Thanks! It's a 6" flange on the light I just tapped on a 4" lol. Yeah I might just run it at 80 right now and wait until the summer

I have had mine in veg for 5 weeks and the temp is pretty consistently 81* and they have been fine. Exhausting more air probably wont help your issue, but like MrBelvedere said, you can provide a cooler air into your intake.
