DEA Raids Vallejo Holistic Medicine Shop on Mini Drive

The federal Drug Enforcement Administration on Wednesday raided a local holistic medicine shop, but no arrests were made, a DEA official said.

Vallejo Patients Cooperative at 320 Mini Dr. was raided around 6 a.m. by a coalition of DEA agents, Vallejo police and Solano County Sheriff's deputies, local authorities said.

DEA special agent Casey McEnry said details of the investigation are under court seal so she could not say why the business was raided.

According to state business records, Vallejo Patients Cooperative has been owned by Brian Everett since April 2008.

In June, Everett spoke with the Times-Herald about the shop, which at least two customers said sold marijuana. At the time, Everett said the shop was not a medical marijuana dispensary but declined to comment whether the shop sold marijuana.
