So after a lot of research I've narrowed down three set-ups that all look pretty decent/affordable/easy-to-use/space appropriate.

it looks like a lot to read- but most of it is just the info on the systems I'm asking about so you don't have to click a bunch of links and do the research i've already done!:thumb:

so here they are!

*******I have a iPower Grow Light 600W HPS/MH Dimmable Cool Tube Reflector Set. (if that helps)

With that, i want to get as many plants as i can going and still get maximum yield with my lighting until i can afford another. I have all of the additives I'll need to put into the water of my units. But the question is which best fits my needs to efficiently get all i can out of this?

here's what I've found:
1)

I want atleast 3 plants. So if option (2) is best i'd get 3 of them for 180$, but if i can get more with option 1 or 3 and the lighting i have i wouldnt mind having one system that can grow 6 or 8 for around the same price. I think one of my biggest concerns- is if 8 plants could even fully grow in that tiny ass thing (option 1) or 6 could grow in option 3...I don't want to have to move my plants if they get too big for what they are growing in- that's why I'm siding more with multiple of Option 2 or only one of option 3 as it looks like it's pretty large.

Thanks :420: people!

Re: Different types of hydroponic setups- but which is best for me?

I'm using the rainforest 66 and like it so far, I also have two water farm, stand alone units and find it hard to keep the right ph, so far in a side by side comparison the rainforest is winning!!!!

Do you have a link to the site you bought yours at?

Re: Different types of hydroponic setups- but which is best for me?

x5 farm series kits-$44.40
x1 1/2 inch black tubing (25ft)-$10.95
x5 5 gal black buckets- $29.65
x5 10 inch mesh pot bucket lid -$15.85
x20 1/4 inch T's- $4.80
x1 commercial air pump w/12 outlets- $60.15
x1 Hydro Flow Black Tubing 3/16" ID 1/4" OD 100 Feet- $18.32
x5 Ecoplus - Air Stone Disc 4"- $29.50
total- $211.50
next day shipping for 52.88 lbs.- $45.28
grand total- $256.50
i'll be using these guides to put the buckets together- it's fairly easier and less complicated than i thought, and I can just go to the website if I need to replace a part instead of paying bookoo bucks for the parts for those big commercial hydro set-ups.

wish i lived in cali so i could just pickup the stuff at this guys warehouse...

+ anyway I love little projects :rollit:

setting up drip top on the bucket-

setting up water stone on the bucket-

It winds up being about the same cost no matter what- so why not do it myself to make sure there's no defects and it runs the way I want it too?
