Digital vs Switchable Ballast

I plan to veg w a 1000w MH and flower with a 1000w HPS. I was of the thinking that I wanted to use the same ballast for both and was about to opt for a switchable. However. Ive seen several digital ballast that seem to be able to support both bulbs as well. The digitals seem to be considerably less as far as cost goes. Can anyone help me differentiate or make a suggestion regarding the two. Pros and cons of both etc? Thanks

digitals do have many advantages over magnetic ballasts, price not being one of them. they run cooler, start faster and have greater light output than magnetic. reliability seems to have been an issue with digitals in the 1kw range. some people have experianced RF interference up to 100 yds away. digitals are more sensitive to voltage spikes than magnetic. digitals are constantly evolving/improving, so I do beleive that they are the future standard of hid lighting....
