My wife purchased a 2' x 2' x 4' tall grow tent for some small scale indoor growing. I set it up the other day and noticed it had an odor coming from the inside when I opened it up. Is that normal? If so how long till that smell goes away?

The odor will slowly vanish over the next few days. Almost everything that is made quickly and packaged will off gas. Go into a home center or carpet store and unroll a few feet of carpet=stinks, unroll a big roll of unscented garbage bags=stinks, same goes for your grow tent. The good news is that the odor will go away and in a few months you will have a much better odor (buds).
