AZ - Prescott police arrested an Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University student Wednesday after school representatives found marijuana in his room during a posted health and safety inspection, a spokesman said.

Officers booked Daniel Honaker, 20, of Prescott, into the Camp Verde jail on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sale and possession of drug paraphernalia.

School representatives found two marijuana buds in plastic bags, 71 bindles, a bong with marijuana residue inside, a digital scale with marijuana residue, 12 $20 bills in a white envelope and a black safe, among other items, according to the police report.

Honaker told the officer a friend of his sent him an ounce of marijuana by mail last month and that he smokes it while playing video games.

When the officer asked why he had a scale, baggies and bindles, Honaker told him he uses the bags to better conceal his marijuana. Honaker told the officer the marijuana was only for his personal use.

"Basically, any time a suspect has marijuana packaged separately, a large amount of baggies and a scale, that leads us to believe the suspect possesses the marijuana for the purpose of sales," said Lt. Andy Reinhardt, spokesman for the Prescott Police Department.
