Excessive Rain

I live in Vancouver and we tend to get massive amounts of rain. Lately it has just been pissing and went I checked on my plants last a few of them were bent and looking a little mangled. On my way back walking down from my plants, it began to rain so hard that it hurt, i'm talkin huge amounts of rain and I was wondering if there was anything to protect my babies. It rained for about 4 hours really hard and I haven't seen them since.
Any tips or things I should do would be great.

Can't think of anything except to rig up some kind of screen or mesh over your plants dude. What I will sugest in case your plants are looking a little yellow from too much water is to pour a couple ounces of hydrogen peroxide around the bace of your plants. This will give the roots more of the oxygen they require even if the soil is saturated.
