A majority of people in the US are in favour of legalization of marijuana, a report has uncovered. It has been found that marijuana has either been legalized or decriminalized in almost a half of the US.

The same is either for recreational or medical purposes. Also, lawmakers have been keeping pace with the American public's changing opinions.

Now, a group of experts has been suggesting that medical marijuana should be administered to dogs and cats. Since, the same, as per their belief, could prove helpful in relieving their pain as well as could help these furry creatures in coping with their life-threatening chronic illnesses.

The report cited Veterinarian Doug Kramer, who gave his pet dog medical marijuana, when she was not responding to any treatment given by the practice for the pain. Sources said, "Veterinarian Doug Kramer first learned of the movement through a patient, a woman whom he describes as a bit eccentric, but she was a very intelligent woman".

The veterinarian administered his pet with THC. He has told that his dog Nikita had untreatable cancer, but the THC dosages have improved her life quality.

However, people's views over the medical use of marijuana for pets are still to be known, said the report.
