Freezer drying

I'm interested in freeze drying. Do you just put the fresh plant minus the soil straight into the freezer and leave it for a week or two?

Harvest the buds and let them dry for a few days first

The poster on that thread says it's not much use if you have a drying area below 65 degrees. As it's winter now I have a room just under that temp I could use, so would there be any benefit to use the freezer still do you think?

Honestly, I am not sure. Probably not.

You could try putting some buds in the freezer and leave the others as usual.

At least you will have some experience of it for the future.
