i have a hot box and it's been maybe 15 months since i bought it and i'm pretty happy with it. not that expensive and i believe is made in california. vapes should never be left on for more that 15 20 minutes. then i shut it off til i want another couple whiffs. when i first started using it i left it on quuite a bit and noticed it big time in the electric bill. like maybe 25 to 30 usd per month. they *do* get real hot and only once have i forgotten to turn it off, and that wasn't a good idea. i have noticed that the ceramic element takes a bit longer to "warm" up...5 minutes, than it did when first purchased but it's a nice change.
