The Hawaii Department of Health on Friday released a list of 66 applicants, including actor Woody Harrelson and local technology entrepreneur Henk Rogers, who submitted proposals for the state's first medical marijuana dispensary system.

There were 66 applications accepted between Jan. 12 and Jan. 29.

Individual applicants and applying entities' names are available online. The list notes the counties in which each applicant intends to open a dispensary.

Only eight licenses will be awarded by April 15, with each allowed to open up to two retail dispensaries and two production centers.

"All other information on dispensary applications is confidential as we move into the evaluation and selection process," said Keith Ridley, chief of the DOH Office of Health Care Assurance.

The applicants include:

Actor and marijuana activist Woody Harrelson;

Video game entrepreneur Henk Rogers;

Big Island farmer Richard Ha;

"Hawaii Stars" television producer Dirk Fukushima;

Halm's Enterprises and Keoki's Lau Lau owner Michael Irish;

Former St. Francis Healthcare Systems executive Eugene Tiwanak;
