I am very new to the new world of "Cannibology" It has after all become a science of cloneing, hybrids, hydro vs. soil etc. Wow! Just "throwing a seed in the backyard", days are gone. I'm 70s Old School man. I gave up the journey, to embark on a new journey that reguired me to stay drug and alcohol free for 20 +yrs. It was very rewarding, and worth the abstenance. Unfortunately I was diagnosed w/terminal heart desease. After many surgeries, bypasses, stents, a staggering list of coronary medications currently 11 different meds a day. I refuse to take pain meds ie. Morphine, Oxycodone, hydrocodone, dillaudid. Amazing Drs have no problem loading you up w/their man made addictive, deadly synthetic opiates. Ask one to help you fill out your legal marijuana papers and they freak. Whatever. Thanx 4 hvin me:

Hello mtaylor and :welcome:to 420Mag! We are all here to help so please do not be overwhelmed by all the info out there about growing MMJ it still is just growing Cannabis not rocket science. There have been great advances in MMJ gardening and cloning but it all very simple when explained in plain english. I am sorry to hear of your health problems and know full well how our health can alter our plans for the future. But rest assured you are in the right place, with good friendly people and NO drama, attitudes, or ego's so ask away if there is anything we can assist you with.
I also abstained from Mj for a career but was severly injured and discovered MMJ after a long seperation.
Please :surf: our Grow Journals - 420 Magazine and tell us what you think.
I will provide some links to great members who will be glad you dropped in to say hello.

Wow right on! I am also new at the whole messageing thing but Im gettin it. I ve been a long haul truck driver, all over the world, and am often stymied by the simplest computer task. Its humbleing to say the least. I am into my first grow in 20 some years. I have 4 female in the flowering satge and one male hanging in the garage. Gonna try my hand at a little hash and will add it in with rest of garbage after harvest. So far so good I think. I wound up with 1:1 ratio 4 males 4 females. males were disposed of asap, except for late bloomer, he is hangin. Any guesstimate as to how long till harvest? Started plants in April. Thanks for hospitality. ::peacetwo:

Hi there,
I'm new to the site myself, but when I saw your post, I felt I had to wish you well. Besides working with coronary patients in critical care for over 20 years (which also required me to stay clean, for the most part :;):, as I still enjoyed my time off), I developed coronary artery disease myself. Know what you're going thru, and I hope you the best. Never give up.

Yeah, I go to a pain specialist, and they prescribe me oxycodone. But I prefer my weed, thank you very much, and I know it's so much less dangerous, indeed better for me. Take care. :blunt::blunt: :goodluck:

Thx man, yeah it sucks, I hve 9 stints 6 bypasses, both corodids. I take 11 different meds they are all coronary related, except 2, they are to treat the cronic pancreatitis I've developed from all the medications. My nephew God bless him, said, "come with me Uncle Mike". He took me in his basement and showed me this amazing grow setup, ALL LEGAL!! Being an old scool stoner from 60s, 70s. It instinctively brought a tear to my eye. He helped thru the whole process of gettin legal. Its been a cool ride since. I refuse to take any other pain medication. I do catch hell though. "Mj and heart desease, really? How does that work?" As they roll their eyes. I say I'm still here and smilin so i guess it works pretty frikin well. Be well:hookah:

Gee, mt, I've got 9 stents too! Trying to escape the bypass here; surgeon came at me last year and I begged my cardiologist to try the stents again.
You're lucky to have such good support in your family, btw. Everyone's not so fortunate.
Heck yeah, mj for heart disease works well. There are times when my angina acts up and I have to lay off of smoking. Smoke is smoke, my doc says. But thank God for edibles!
Nice getting to know you. Take care of yourself. :hippy: :peace:
