Hemp, Inc. is pleased to announce the huge success of its 3rd Hemp University educational symposium held this past weekend which focused on The Art and Science of CBD Greenhouse Growing. The educational symposium was held at Louisburg College in Louisburg, North Carolina. A team of experts engaged attendees through the greenhouse and indoor growing process from cultivation to harvest and from processing to distribution. Dr. Robert Bruck, Dean of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics and Distinguished Professor of Environmental Science at Louisburg College, was The Hemp University's special guest who lectured on soil microbiology during the symposium. Attendees were able to spend half of the course at Hemp, Inc.'s 70,000 square-foot Industrial Hemp Hub, in a 3,000 square-foot cloning room. There, attendees had the opportunity to experience a more hands-on learning approach.

Rick Rainbolt, President of Hemp, Inc.'s wholly owned subsidiary, Hemp University, LLC, said The Hemp University will hold two "Farming Hemp for Profit" symposiums in August, 2017. The first symposium is tentatively set to be held in Louisburg and Spring Hope, North Carolina and the second symposium is tentatively scheduled to be held in Charleston, South Carolina. Both will provide 6 certified hours to attending registrants of the class. "Our symposiums have been overwhelmingly successful and have grown tremendously with the number of attendees since our launch with the first symposium," said Rainbolt.

According to Rainbolt, Dr. Bruck and the Louisburg College affiliation with The Hemp University are opening new doors for The Hemp University. An accredited, professional certification program for industrial hemp growers has been proposed and is now being planned. "Louisburg College is an excellent platform for The Hemp University to deliver professional certificate courses to individuals, and organizations, across the country," said Rainbolt.

Bruce Perlowin, CEO of Hemp, Inc. commented, "The interactive, hands-on learning approach The Hemp University provides is invaluable. By learning in an interactive cohort format, students gain the necessary skills needed to immediately implement on their farm or in their organization. We believe the Hemp University has achieved the perfect mix of quality instruction, relevant educational content and a high level of commitment to ensuring the educational success of all our attendees. Not to mention the valuable connections gained go a long way in this industry."

According to Dr. Micheal Villa, who has been teaching part of The Hemp University course, "Hemp University provides a unique opportunity where participants have access to people that are living the new hemp life. Participants have access to professionals in the industry that are experiencing hemp in all its facets. Topics ranging from regulations to plant maintenance are all covered."

Per Dr. Bruck, "The certification program will require students to successfully complete four or five Hemp University modules covering a range of topics for cultivating and growing industrial hemp. Upon successful completion, students will be issued a diploma certifying them from Louisburg College and The Hemp University as a certified industrial hemp grower. We can certify anyone in the country and with that certification, they can become better growers. This past weekend was a huge success with nothing but positive comments from the 100+ attendees. Education is a major factor in growing this industry. Our industrial hemp certification program plans on providing high quality certified education."

Moreover, "Participants can expect to learn about challenges they will face and opportunities yet to come. These things are all desired in detail by the very people that have lived and are currently living it with them," says Dr. Villa. "To many who attend, it is a pathway to a new and exciting adventure in their life's journey. To us, as instructors, it is a way to share our experiences, to create an atmosphere where people are free to ask questions and to explore this amazing plant that can literally change our planet."

Upcoming educational symposiums will be The Art and Science of Cannabinoid Extractions and The Art and Science of CBD Product Development. The Hemp University also plans on adding two more "Master Growing POD" members in the month of July. The Mastery Growing Pods are available to a select number of North Carolina farmers and growers who are completely committed to achieving the highest standards in this emerging and profitable industry. The philosophy is to focus resources on a limited number of Mastery Growing Pods that consist of four (4) growing teams each. This allows each POD to develop teamwork, synergy and resource sharing among themselves.

"The farmers and growers who will win big in the Industrial Hemp space will be the ones who simply commit to nothing less than excellence and work as a team," says Rainbolt. The dedicated team of experts will help guide each team of POD members from cultivation to harvest and from processing to distribution.

The Hemp University has been established to be the blueprint for farming, navigating and thriving in the industrial hemp revolution. Classes will cover such topics as planting and harvesting schedules, soil temperature, conditions and amendments, proper PH watering, the different life cycles and stages of the hemp plant, cloning, flowering, seed production, greenhouse growing, converting chicken houses to grow rooms, indoor lighting requirements, a big FOCUS ON BRINGING BACK THE SMALL FAMILY FARM TO THE AMERICAN LANDSCAPE, organic certification, licensing fees, what's happening with industrial hemp in different states around America, high CBD strains and different CBD extraction technologies (which will also be installed and showcased at Hemp, Inc.'s processing facility) and marketability of the crop. The seminars started in March, this year, with the 3rd being held this past weekend (June 24, 2017), The Art and Science of CBD Greenhouse Growing.

With the goal to educate its attendees on key topics such as transitioning from traditional farming to organic farming, different hemp cultivar strains, how and where to get certified seeds, planting and harvesting industrial hemp, an in depth history of hemp and its many uses, agronomy, permaculture, ecological advantages and many more courses with an ever expanding curriculum. Hemp, Inc. has secured an outstanding lineup of experts from at least a dozen states all over the country, including New York, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Nevada, Colorado, Oregon, Kentucky, Illinois and more for the 2017 season.

Hemp retail products from all around the country will be showcased at The Hemp University. Attendees will also be able to connect with potential industrial hemp distributors and product manufacturers. Our new "Hemp Hub" will be a one stop shop for every aspect of industrial hemp from seed and soil to sale. Providing as many resources as possible to our American farmers and land owners to successfully grow hemp and have sales channels for the potential 25,000 products our hemp industry can produce and again with a big FOCUS ON BRINGING BACK THE SMALL FAMILY FARM TO THE AMERICAN LANDSCAPE.

"The Hemp University vision is simple. We accompany you from developing your strategic objectives all the way to successful and sustainable implementation, regardless of whether you are new to the hemp industry or just want to enhance your existing product range. We support you during set-up at all stages over the life of the company and assist in the handling of important operational processes," concluded Rainbolt.
