A Hibbing man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell after a traffic stop on Wednesday.
Jesse A. Faust, 23, is being held in the St. Louis County jail in Hibbing pending charges for 5th degree possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and a felon in possession of firearms.
At approximately 1:50 p.m., an officer from the Hibbing Police Department conducted a traffic stop for speeding on a 1995 Chevy pickup truck at the intersection of 19th Avenue East and 37th Street in Hibbing.
The officer approached the vehicle and detected a strong odor of marijuana in the vehicle. The driver was identified and after further investigation the officer located approximately seven pounds of marijuana, a scale and drug paraphernalia. Officers then served a search warrant at Faust’s residence at 1500 block of Grey Drive in Hibbing. The officers found another 11/2 pounds of marijuana, over $7000 in cash, drug paraphernalia and firearms.
