How to harvest a hydroponics cannabis plant?

I googled it, i YouTubed it, I even change the words around like: weed instead of cannabis!

Nothing explains it.

So do I just cut the main stem, or hang it with the roots.? Generally I don’t like being the cause of its death.

Plus think about it. hanging it with the roots gives that extra stress boost right?

There is no difference between how to go about harvesting, drying and curing a hydroponic grow and a soil based grow. At least I have not read anywhere of a difference.

Whatever turns you on. Most people will cut the main stem or cut the larger stems and hang. I have read once or twice of someone who pulled the plant and washed the roots off before hanging but that seems to be really rare.

I just chop the plant at the base and hang whole, keep temps around 57 F and humidity around 50 and if you are running an exhaust fan keep on its lowest setting. also keep an eye out for mold but you should be good and the longer you hang to dry the better, try for at least 8 to 10 days if not longer.

Also i like to cut the fan leaves ( water leaves ) off the day before i chop, most of them anyways.
