The Willie Nelson Pot Party Global Public Smoke Out is at 4 p.m., Saturday at the corner of Front and 8th Streets in Downtown Boise. The public is invited.
The event kicks off 2011 Cannabis law reform efforts by Idaho Moms for Marijuana, Idaho NORML, and Compassionate Idaho. The groups favor legislation that would give Idahoans the choice about the use of marijuana and allow the use of marijuana for medical and other purposes.
A meeting for volunteers will take place immediately after the rally at 5:30 p.m. at Idaho Pizza 1677 Broadway Ave., Boise. Attendees will be able to get updates on The Idaho Medical Choice Act and information on upcoming events.
