IN: Elwood Police Arrest Two In Large Marijuana Grow Operation

Elwood police arrested two people Saturday after police discovered a large grow operation and confiscated 184 marijuana plants from a residence in the 1800 block of South A Street.

Matthew A. Stockdale, 31, who, according to police, lives in the residence where the marijuana was found, was charged with Level 6 felony dealing marijuana, hash oil, hashish; Class B misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia; Level 6 felony possession of cocaine or narcotic drug; Level 6 felony possession of syringe; Class A misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance; Class A misdemeanor possession of marijuana, hash oil, hashish; and Class A misdemeanor maintaining a common nuisance. He was released on $5,000 bond.

Erika Cavaness, 32, who also reportedly lives in the home, was charged with Level 6 felony possession of cocaine or narcotic drug; Class A misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance; Class A misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia; Level 6 felony dealing marijuana, hash oil, hashish; Class A misdemeanor possession of marijuana, hash oil, hashish; and Level 6 felony maintaining a common nuisance, drugs. She also was released on $5,000 bond.
