Hey, growing for the first time and need some light info... my baby is just under 3inches, yet i have a 26watt = 100watt (those swirled up, energy saving) light bulb is 11.5inches away... The light bulb box says it "Lumens 1700". I don't know anything about the lighting set, can any1 help?

Cool, thnx.... But what about the watering? What kind of water, can i use bottle water that hasnt been in the fridge yet? and how often?

It's cool man, i have like 50 16oz brand new water bottles sitting under my sink for the last 4months (lol, decided to buy a water cooler instead) Can i still use the bottled water? if so, when i let it sit over night should it be open or leave it closed? and how should i water it? (never had a plant of anything b4, lol) should i just pour it in the pot? spray the plant? how many times a day>?

Sure it's fine.
Nah, it doesn't need to sit unless it's not room temp or somethin'.

For the how, I like a water can with a shower type head on it.
Doesn't "dig" into the dirt as much when ya' water.
Other wise, just slow and gentle.

as for when to water,
when the containers feel light.
They start droopin' then it's time.
Dirt starts to pull away from the sides of the container, maybe time.
Really hard to say, depends on their need and useage.

Best way is to water them good and then feel the weight of the containers.
When they feel light they need water :cheesygrinsmiley:

Good idea about the weight =0)
since I'm using bottled water i don't have to let the chlorine leave or anything like that right? 12hrs of light and 12hrs of complete darkness? I lowered the light bulb to be 5inches away from the TOP of the plant (I'm scared it might burn it) is that cool?

Buy a timer for the light, a Y thing so i could add another 100W light bulb, and a water thing with a shower head so i could water them... anything else i might need?

I WILL HAVE CLEARER PICTURES WITHIN THE NEXT HR
The plant is just under an inch over the top

yea... I mean, its not in a box or anything like that... It's in the open in a corner of my room where i know i cant be disturbed... When its dark time i put the plant on the floor and put a box over it so i could keep my room light on, and not shine any light on the plant... not worried about the smell.. I smoke none stop on my house, live with ppol that don't care about the smell at all...

I just thought of something... I will include a not too clear pic in a min... since my room ramp is next to all this... i took it apart and point it towards the plant so it could have better glow...

I noticed that one of the bottom leaves are twisted with a couple of bown/yellow spots... Is that a problem? Should i start a new grow?

Oh, i get it... my bad boss, i thought you deleted them cause they was too many... I'll correct all my other posted pix....... thnx...

ONE MORE QUESTION... I LIVE IN THE US... (FLORIDA) LOL... WHERE OR WHAT WEBSITE CAN I GET GOOD SEEDS FROM? PM ME THE ANSWER PLZ... DON'T BLAST YOUR SELF ON THIS :peace:

There are a few things we have to look into :)

I am worried about the medium (Soil) Soil down there is mostly sand. Unless you have tested the ph of your water and it's right on, I would get a bag of potting soil with no added nutrients and mix in some baked soil if you need to.

This may explain the growth as well. Fine sand can compact almost solid, leaving little room for roots to struggle through. Also, the nutrients could be washing straight out with very little being uptaken into the plant.

We need dirt bud :) Good luck, nice video ;-)

Hey boss thnx dood... So i could just go on to walmart and get some plain ol' potting soil? My plant is now just under 3 1/2 inches and as you could see in the video, you could see a couple strings of roots coming out the bottom... Do you think i need a bigger pot?
When i change the sand to potting soil i will something specific that i have to do or keep an eye on? And what do you mean by "baked soil"? lol, and i have no idea that "ph" mean... (I'm a negative noob, lol)
