Minimum light need to root clones.

I had to rearrange my house and with the hopes of getting some purple strains for the winter, I held off on a peputula grow. I have 2 mother plants that are under flos doing great. My problem is the light they are under is what i use to root clones. I dont really want to hook up my 400 MH yet just to light 2 mother plants to much money , so I was thinking I will leave the flos for my mothers and then just take whatever florecent bulbs I can find in the house to root them. Will a few compact flo bulbs be enough to root my clones?

less light is good or else they will consume themselves before they finish rooting. Keeping the propogator 1 foot below a 26W cfl should work fine.
