"I'm very very happy to say that my son has not had seizures for over six months at least. He is up and walking, he's babbling, he's got quality of life again. He is interacting with us, he is getting into trouble and loving life again," Kim Falk said.

A minnesota mom is excited that her son is getting help from medical marijuana.

Three of four dispensaries in the state are open and we're learning there's a slight delay in the one slated for Moorhead.

Word is circling around that the Moorhead site will open but not by August 1st as planned.

There was some talk that the Moorhead dispensary might not open at all.

Early on, there was concern that there wouldn't be enough doctors that would sign up for it.

We have since learned that's not the case.

There are no signs of construction or development at the location along the 7th and Main Plaza strip for the dispensary but Minnesota Medical Solutions said the shop will still open sometime late this summer but can't provide us with a definite day.

Minnesota Medical Solutions said it's a matter of getting work done with contractors for the renovation.

So far, 298 healthcare practitioners have been approved to certify patients in Minnesota with only 183 patients approved in the state registry.

Both moorhead police and city hall also say plans are still in place, though they haven't been updated with any information or with a specific date for a few weeks.

Thursday, a dispensary opened in Rochester.

Two others, one in Minneapolis and the other in Eagan, are already up and operating.
