More than 1,000 pounds of marijuana has been found in an abandoned house on the Tohono O'odham Nation, the U.S. Border Patrol said.

Agents followed footprints going north from the border Monday until they reached a house near Pisinemo and found 71 bundles of marijuana weighing 1,267 pounds.

No arrests were made.

The load had an estimated street value of $633,500, authorities said.

Since Oct. 1, agents in the Tucson Sector have seized 98,591 pounds of marijuana _ 20 percent more than it had seized at the same time in fiscal year 2006.
