Hi folks!
I have a ton of medical problems, but this one isn't for me. I young lady that worked for me a bit a year ago just showed up on my door step at 10, in desperate need of help and in a state of panic. She has cancer in every female spot possible with all those organs and places that couldn't be remove burned or scraped up tumors. The last location, no treatment is possible. Under 30, she was given shitty welfare medical care and told what was left was stage four, though it has not metastasized or spread anywhere else, for years. (doesn't sound like stage 4 to me) She was supposed to return ever 6 months for checkups, but lost her insurance. Bad things are happening that she has no way to know if is related to the cancer. The hug of a child or brush of a box leaves huge painful bruises, but not every time. Her entire body will start shaking, sometimes curling her arms, hands and toes inward. These concern me and for this I just ask if anyone has heard of such a thing!
As a kid, she smoked tons of weed, no problems. Abruptly one day, the smell of any form of pot set off migraines. She had to stop helping me at home when my garden became too smelly for her to be on my property. The poor woman is equally allergic to narcotics and Toredol. With the pain from cancer and now these new things, she's been desperate enough to try pot again, but from friends and not knowing what it would be each time. She stuffed Vicks up her nose, had a friend role a blunt, took a hit and ran away inside to avoid the smell. It made her feel better. Next day, different friend, she's throwing up for over a half an hour off the same amount. A third attempt, new friend, huge migraine and more puking. If you touch her head, she gets migraines, very sensetive. Pretty unusual...
I sat her down, explained all the gazillion strains, how they effect every one in different ways, plus the usual Sativa Indica symptoms. She said she once had a bag of Purple Kush that helped. PK from another person made her ill. I had to explain different growers, conditions, nutes, soils, environments, etc all make a strain of the same name different. I grew one strain in three different conditions and the plants even looked different from each other, let alone the results. I'm scaring her, but I'm blunt. I explained all the hashes, methods, why edibles and capsules are different, tincture, oils, waxes. I make all this crap and had demos. tHC, CBDs, burning temps... Two hour fast track speech. Her pot head buddies who smoke whaever they can find could kill her with the nonsense they told her, thus why me. Lol Tell a person allergic to weed to smoke wax? Ugh!
I'm sitting here debating how to best help this cancer sufferer whose body is going crazy. I'm so ill, there are few ways I can help another person and few ask. Those that do get it, whatever I have to do. I'm more concerned about the bruising and shakes than cancer, but can only come up with cancer as the plausible source. Curse this country and it's lack of health care for those getting paid shit rather than take welfare!
So you specialists, I have my ideas and questions for ya:
Based on her lack of tolerance to meds, I did not suggest edibles or capsules. The dosing is too inconsistent from a dispensary, and the smell could set her off, even from hash. Only from wax can I get smell free edibles. The effects take too long to start or wear off. She has kids, 12 day job, just too risky unless other ideas fail. Too expensive to buy regularly and baaaad with young kids who even eat their veggies and raid the freezer... No way to ride.
Glycerine based tincture has no true pot smell and didn't bother her. I gave her some, which she is of coarse scared to try. I suggested work from 2 drops up to 2-4 droppers and give 24 hrs between for reaction. This is no cure, but have any of you used it and had luck with it for that cancer pain inside, which I'm sure is not the same as my own pain?? Has any of you gotten relief from nausea using any kind of tincture? Is it similar to Marinol in results?
I of coarse gave her the Pheonix Tears site and hope she will seek help here... For those of you taking the wax (properly 'rinsed' and placed in a vacuum to remove ALL butane) or Ricks newer method that tastes like hell, were you able to take it orally and not get stoned as much as smoking a few hits? She can't risk her job if stoned or visibly effected. I've heard wonders of it curing cancer, but did it help your pain and nausea too? What was the easiest way to eat it and not taste it. I just tried some and now it's glued to the back of my teeth. Yuck!!
Those making wax and oils and eating them, does the strain matter, besides Indicas helping the pain more? Did you eat Sativa in day and Indica at night, or did it not effect you the same as smoking/ vaping these two types does? Would a Sativa leave one able to operate heavy machinery, or any of it mess those unused to MJ up?
Any other ideas? Even to control the symptoms and not cure, how many rice sized pieces of wax would it take? This is the only thing I haven't tried for my own pain, so I'm curious about success stories. 6 volcano bags of oil mixed with top quality bud does nada for my pain, none of it. Whatever ya'll suggest, I'll try it on myself first in a higher dose to be sure it's not too mental for her.
If anyone at all reading this ever has heard of a 26 yr old woman getting severaly bruised by brushing a cardboard box with her leg, or getting a hug, plz LMK. There were even little finger marks! The shaking is like someone coming off meth, but she is drug free. It this BS could be the cancer truly in the blood and on the move and doing this to her, the oil is her only hope. If it isn't...
My hat is off to you survivors and your stories. With cancer taking the world by storm, every person inflicted with cancer, their friends, and families and even military doctors are spreading the word that here is relief, if not a cure for some. You can bet they'll remember that at the polls whenever another state tries to make medical MJ legal. You make a difference!
Thanks, (sorry about the book)
