We’ve been hearing a lot lately about Faraday Future’s plans to build a car manufacturing plant in Apex, Nevada, but did you know about the hundreds of other plants that already exist there?

We’re talking about Cannabis plants.

Waveseer of Nevada, a cannabis cultivation facility, is also located in Apex.

The workers there look more like doctors than farmers, wearing white lab coats and rubber gloves.

All of the marijuana plants inside will eventually be turned into medicine to treat everything from headaches to cancer.

"Once they are full size, we will take them, put them into our flower room, create nice big flowers, and then they will go into our processing machines," said Drew Wilmeth, the facility's master grower.

Also on staff here is an agronomist, who helps monitor things like soil conditions and plant genetics. The environment is 100 percent controlled, from the temperature and humidity to the product itself.

Quality, they say, is paramount.

“All along the way we're testing it for microbial, bacterial, fungal growth,” said Operations Manager Gareth Nelson. “The biggest thing is Nevada has very stringent testing."

Only five months in operation, Waveseer is producing all it can to meet the demand. Operators say they will begin farming 20 additional new strains by this spring.
