This weekend was the grand opening of a marijuana shop in Vancouver.
The new store is called High End Market Place or HEMP and it opened its doors Saturday. The shop is located on Broadway Street in downtown Vancouver.
Those who attended were treated with live music, free Voodoo doughnuts and a raffle prize drawing.
People who came showed their excitement for the new pot shop in the area.
"This is a really awesome thing," said one attendee. "I just wanted to come out and support and just check it out because I think it's a great thing for our community."
Another person commented on the welcoming space.
"It's really cool to have this kind of thing, you know in the neighborhood and it's in a house, and it's really comfortable, you know, you feel at home."
The new store is a commercially zoned house, allowing the owners to create a home like feel in the store.
