A man currently on probation for selling marijuana was busted again for selling pot, the Otsego County District Attorney's office announced.
Timothy Gregory, 54, faces up to two and a half years in prison for violating his probation. In 2013, he was convicted of criminal possession of marijuana in the second degree.
He was arrested on Feb. 12 and charged with criminal possession of marijuana in the fourth degree, a misdemeanor. Gregory faces an additional year in the Otsego County Jail for that charge.
Gregory is accused of selling marijuana out of his home and business located on 597 Kilkenny Road in Unadilla, according to the DA's office.
On Feb. 11, investigators from the district attorney's office and the Otsego County Sheriff's Office searched Gregory's home.
During the search, they located and seized approximately seven ounces of marijuana, a digital scale, plastic baggies, and more than $1,000 in cash.
The street value of the marijuana seized was almost $2,000, according to authorities.
The day after the search on Feb. 12, Gregory surrendered himself.
A week later -- Friday, Feb. 20 -- Gregory appeared in Otsego County Court. He was taken to county jail without bail on a violation of probation.
He is scheduled to return to court on March 6.
The investigation was conducted jointly by the sheriff's office, the district attorney's office, the Otsego County Probation Department, the Albany Drug Enforcement Agency District Office with assistance from the Oneonta Police Department Detective Bureau and the Drug Enforcement Agency Northeast Aviation Unit.
