One thing before making canna-oil

I'm going to be making edibles next week with Coconut oil and had a question.

I planned on doing a water wash for a week before hand (soak in water at room temperature and filter daily)

Should I decarboxylate before or after I do a week long water-wash?

If you want to de-carb for oils/butters, do it after you are done drying
