Hi all. A question: Should I keep seedlings under fluorescent for 24 hrs. a day before putting outside? I'm not using a grow box. Is it true that you should wait 'til 14 hrs daylight before putting outside? I'm putting in 5 seedlings fem white widow. I hope to harvest 1 lb. for personal. Is that a reasonable goal? Any pointers will be appreciated. Thanks, Herb. P.S. I'm in eastern Ont.

Hello Herb

I take it you are planning well ahead for spring are you? Here on the east coast, especially here where I am, if the girls are well established (6+ weeks old) I can put them out by mid-May and earlier if the ground has warmed enough. The risk of frost is generally past by that time here, but a well established plant can withstand a minor frost so long as it warms up pretty quick in the morning.
