PORTLAND, Ore. - Four people were arrested and hundreds of marijuana plants were seized during a Tuesday morning raid at two locations.

Multnomah County sheriff's deputies served search warrants at about 8 a.m. on Northeast Rocky Butte Drive in Portland and on Northeast Pacific in Gresham.

They recovered about 300 mature marijuana plants, 100 pounds of processed marijuana and other items. They also took possession of four cars they say were used to transport the drugs.

Two children between the ages of four and eight were put into the custody of the DHS.

Police say those arrested, 36-year-old Tu Ngoc Tran, 48-year-old Minh Ngoc Le, 32-year-old Minaty Nguyen and 36-year-old Huy Nguyen, used medical marijuana cards and fake documents to hide their activities from police.

The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office said it expects more search warrants and arrests as the investigation continues.

The four arrested are charged with manufacturing marijuana, delivery of marijuana, possession of marijuana and child neglect.
