Power surge on 1000w HPS

i had tree branch fall on my power lines, my light worked after the power came back on and i plugged the balist in. turned it off for the night cycle, turned back on in the morning. came back an hour later and the light was off and it was still plugged in. hasn't worked since then. i have fliped all the breakers off/on. and still something is wrong.....does anyone know the effects of a power surge on a HID system?

It prob messed up or blew out kinda like what happens to a pc when it has a sudden power surge they stop working crash etc...

well i just bought the whole set up not a week ago, and i am pretty sure the balist and hood have a life time warrenty. i am just not sure what is wrong and what i would need to take back.....and i mean would they know what is wrong? i really need to figure it out, i've got three beautiful girls just itching to bud..... i need to get some more light on them.....

oh and is it possible that the outlet it was on burnt out, or anything like that....

I recently lost my MH bulb when the power kicked off and then back on... The ballast is fine...
