Quick questions about butter

When making butter what ratio should be used if you're using shake/leaf instead of bud? Never made butter before and me and my friend just acquired a pretty big bag of the stuff. I'd say prolly about 7-8 pounds of fresh leaf. So how much butter should I mix in with this?

I've also heard that it should be soaked in room temp water overnight to get the chlorophyl out so that it doesnt taste as bad? Is this correct?

Also would it work better to dry the leaves out before making butter or just throw them in fresh?
