Officers seized 224 marijuana plants at two indoor growing operations in South Salem this week, Salem police said Friday.

Detectives from the department's Community Response Team conducted two separate drug raids Wednesday and Thursday, Cpl. Shawn Adams said.

Three people were arrested at the operations, which police said were similar but not connected. Detectives obtained a warrant and searched a residence Wednesday in the 5100 block of Jones Road SE. Police found 112 growing marijuana plants and about four pounds of the usable drug, Adams said.

Tyrone Eldredge, 40, and Amy Eldredge, 39, were arrested on charges of manufacturing and delivering marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school, Adams said. Judson Middle School is in the 4500 block of Jones Road SE.

Detectives also searched a residence Thursday at 6600 Orville Road S in rural South Salem, where 112 marijuana plants were seized, as well as a pound of dried marijuana, methamphetamine, an assault rifle and a sawed-off shotgun, Adams said.

Aaron Lazott, 25, was arrested on counts that included possession of a firearm, maintaining a drug house and various other drug charges, police said.
