Strain selection help

Hey guys,

Looking for a pure Indica strain that can grow in the Sonoran desert heat and cold (Arizona)

I would guess that any pure Indica from the Hindu Kush Mountains could tolerate the heat in the summer since that region gets pretty hot in the summer. But in Arizona the fall can turn cold quite fast.

I want to get back to outdoor gardening again, I'm getting a little tired of hydroponics; grow plants the way God intended us to I guess.

So does anyone have some suggestions for pure Indica strains that could potentially be heat tolerant?

BTW: It cant be a Sativa because Arizona is too dry to grow subtropical plants... Easily at least, it is possible however.

Mazar-i-Sharif sounds like it would be less affected by cold than most:
The Real Seed Company Mazar-i-Sharif is grown around the desert towns of Balkh, Mazar-i-Sharif and Sheberghan in the far north of Afghanistan, close to the modern borders of Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. This Mazar-i-Sharif strain produces the legendary hashish known as ""Shirak-i-Mazar"" and ""Milk of Mazar"". The people of these regions are a patchwork of Turkic, Tajik, Afghan and Pashtun tribes, and the history of Mazar-i-Sharif strains is likely to be equally complex. In fertile and well-irrigated soils these vigorous giants are capable of reaching 4 metres in height or more, and will produce a similarly immense yield of intensely resinous flowers. Traditionally harvested in the first half of December with the onset of the brutal Central Asian winter, Mazar-i-Sharif plants will enjoy cold conditions, including snow, and will turn a deep blood red in low temperatures. Growers favour leaving harvest as late as possible, sometimes into early January. Sieved ""Milk of Mazar"" garda is very resinous and so can be hand-pressed to make charas. Mazar-i-Shariff has a distinctively pungent, sweet aroma and a dreamily mellow high. Over-indulgence produces a mind-warping, immobilising and narcotic effect.

That sounds like an awesome strain. I checked some seed banks online, they are either out of stock or wont ship to my location.

Was so close.

Although still thanks a ton, I think any pure Indica strain might serve my purpose, I will just have to trial and error.

Moroccan strains might fit the bill on your growing environmental conditions, eh? ACE has a Moroccan and a few other seedbanks too. The only one l have experience with is Bama Seeds "Kif Ketama" (Moroccan hash plant) & it was a early, hardy strain in my opinion. It gets dry & hot there in Morocco like in Arizona. Bama seeds takes PayPal too. l got beans 3X now from 'em to the wilds of rural BC no problemo. Rocking 2 of their "Rif Kafrine" ATM.
