Taste of RSO?

Re: taste of ros ?

No, If you used isopropal alc. you won't get rid of that nasty taste without washing it out. The water in the iso stays in the oil along with that awful taste unless you boil it from start to finish, and that just ruins your oil. Next time use everclear. Even if you don't get it all out it won't taste that bad and it's NOT poisonous. (boiling it gets the water out at the same time)

a simple finish to your oil will help with taste...pour your oil in a glass/pyrex container...turn on coffee maker warmer...place metal ring from mason jar on heating element...place jar on mason ring and let it go....after a few hours, take off heat and let cool...place a small drop on a pin and place over a flame(use common sense here...like place flame 8"above your oil container)...if the drop flares/combusts...back to the coffee machine...if it just drops off...good to go....hth
