City Council members are expected to decide how far away MMJ shops should be away from schools. Dozens of medical marijuana dispensaries could be put out of business if they violate that zoning decision.
City Council is looking at two possibilities: requiring dispensaries to be at least 400 feet away from kindergarten through 12th grade schools, or keeping dispensaries a thousand feet away. It's the latter of the two options that could put many dispensaries out of business.
Public testimony will be allowed during the meeting Tuesday at City Hall on Nevada Avenue in Colorado Springs beginning at 1 p.m.
