What you think the yield will be?

Was looking over at my neighbors house this morning and thought he put up a sculpture. What you think the yield on this flower stalk will be?

For scale, the top of the cactus leaves (Century Plant) are about 6 feet tall, in the background those are 16" diameter pilings. Was going to measure the diameter of the flower stalk but the terminal tips of the leaves have 2" spikes on them, and the the side of the leaves look like shark teeth, so, not wanting to bleed, I'd estimate the stalk is 12" in diameter and almost 15 feet tall, and still growing!

Century Plant? Say what? The photo is somewhat blurry so it is hard to say. Maybe until we can see an in-focus and well lit photograph some level of caution is best.

Until then we could also figure that you might have a neighbor growing an invasive specie. Something worth considering. Don't forget to watch the documentary mentioned below.

The common name for the specie is "Xenomorph XX121" and has been given the scientific name of "Internecivus raptus". It can live in very polluted air and has been known to survive for awhile in a vacuum. The fluids inside are very corrosive and have been shown to eat through metal floors over time. The military has given thought to using it as a weapon though it can only be used once per person but it does breed quickly enough.

If you or anyone else wants to know more about it they can easily find a copy of the documentary 'Alien', which was first released in 1979 in many movie theaters. No humans, cats or aliens were harmed in the making of the documentary. But you probably know all that and are starting to celebrate the anniversary of the original release date of the 'Alien' documentary a month early. The US release date was May 25th of 1979 and that is a touch over a month after celebrating 420.:)
