Packers tight end Lance Kendricks was cited in September for possession of marijuana, a charge that just came to light Saturday.

It's the second time this week news surfaced of a Packers player being arrested on drug-related charges earlier this fall, following news reports on running back Aaron Jones' arrest in October.

TMZ reported Saturday that on Sept. 2, police pulled over Kendricks for speeding 81 mph in a 70 mph zone. According to TMZ, the officer "could smell a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle." The officer then discovered a "green leafy substance" and rolling papers in the car.

Police cited Kendricks with two misdemeanor charges for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Jones was stopped by police in Wisconsin Oct. 1 for speeding 79 mph in a 55 mph zone. Earlier this week, he pleaded not guilty to charges of speeding, driving without a valid license and operating a vehicle with a controlled substance in his system.

The 29-year-old Kendricks has 10 catches for 140 yards and a touchdown this season.
