I'm thinking about changing over to led lighting and I'm wondering if anybody can tell me what size area a 300w led will cover??

LEDs don't cover much18/24"

LINK HERE this is dorm grow led's they are a sponsor. your best bet is to find a light similar to the one you are looking at and click on it, it will pull up that light, scroll to the bottom of the page and it will give you the coverage infomation for that light. that is the best i can tell you at the moment a all lights will differ based on the design and layout of the panel.
