Well that's my issue, the lower leaves and nodes are barely getting any light. Heaps of airflow though.

The diy bucket with yeast and sugar is dead easy and dirt cheap. No control over the amount you're adding though. On the leaves, I'm not an expert but I would. I've read somewhere that you better cut stressed or hurt leaves as the plant will spend a lot of energy in healing them. Don't quote...
