    Boveda Humidipak 62% For Curing

I used them once, not only to cure, but for the majority of the drying - and they worked GREAT! I hung the plant to dry for a couple days in a room with 45-50% RH. When the outside of the buds started to get dry, I trimmed them and put them in 1 qt jars with three of the 60 gram Boveda packs...

6 or 9 - How long veg Critical Kush

Since you're limited by height, I would definitely train them, you'll get better yield than if you let them grow naturally. They can double or even triple in height when you flip to flower, so go by that as far as when to go 12/12

    Cooking - Recipes - Decarb?

No help on specific recipes, but the butter can be used the same way regular butter is in you favorite recipe. Do a search for cannabutter or THC butter and you'll find more details... but basically you just heat butter, water, and cannabis and let it soak hot for a while. The water will...

    Watering question

As far as technique, it's the same, but you will be watering more often in coco. Every day is not uncommon, and I've read of people watering multiple times per day. I may be wrong here, having never grown in coco, but I recall reading that it's hard to over water in coco.

A pleasant surprise: Looking for advice on how to move forward

You can use a sharp and sterile razor blade to scrape the woody part of the stem until you get down to some exposed xylem (the white fibrous layer) to help it root better.

    300W Incandescent?

Incandescent bulbs are about 98% efficient... when used as a heater. When you're using them for light, they're about 2% efficient. Depending on your electric rate, you could probably buy a 300W grow light for what you'll spend running that old thing through one grow.

A pleasant surprise: Looking for advice on how to move forward

I'm not seeing any signs of sex at this point, are there some pistils we can't see in the pic? I've never heard of the number of leaf lobes correlating to the growth stage. Generally, a plant will have more lobes as it gets larger. Mine have all started with 3, and progressed toward 9 as they...

    Whats up with this plant?

The brownish spots between the leaf veins looks like Phosphorus deficiency. Either calcium or magnesium (I think calcium?) looks similar, but is usually smaller dots and more widespread. The brown leaf tips may be nute burn. What ratio fertilizer are you using?

Do timers really use this much power?

FWIW, I measured my regular ol' "security timer" and it went back and forth between 1W and 2W on my meter.

Got some questions about R/O water and using it for the first time with seedlings!

Re: Got some questions about R/O water and using it for the first time with seedlings I'd start the calmag right away, although not really necessary early on, it can't hurt and could help. You only need to pH RO water if you've added anything to it. The PPM is so low in RO water that it...

    Help! Autoflowering

Hi, and :welcome: to :420: You have another couple months to harvest, exact time will vary based on conditions and will almost always be longer than the grower says - unless you have perfect growing conditions.

    Power outages affect on plants?

I did a little more thinking on the subject, and the following situation occurred to me: My flower timer will be on for 11 hours 45 minutes. The power goes out for 8 or 10 hours (which has happened in a couple blizzards) and the plants "think" it's night. The power comes back on and the...

    Power outages affect on plants?

It's getting to be that time of year for me, when every gust of wind or flake of snow makes the power go out. It's not unusual to go a couple hours without power, that will happen about once per month. Most of the time it's just long enough to reset clocks. But do I have anything to worry...

    New grower - Brown leaves?

You can change the pH with "PH up" and "PH down", which is most common. You can also use common household products, such as baking soda for up and lemon juice for down. Younger plants are more sensitive to light, so as the plants grow you can let them get a bit closer, but you'll need to move...

    New grower - Brown leaves?

Also, I'm not seeing any brown. That looks like a pretty healthy plant overall. But see in the last image how the one new leaf in the foreground is twisted to the side, almost like there's a drawstring in it? That is usually a pH issue, and I see you're around 7. For soil, you want to be...
