Re: 1st grow, 800w CMH, diy aero/dwc, wh wido, wh castle, m kush, swiss cheese
Just a little hint. While in the veg stage, especially early, plants don't need much or / if any nutrients. If you use miracle grow potting soil with 1/4 worm castings and half perlite, that's all they need!:thumb:
If you look at the relative light spectrum of the CMH compared to the HPS, you will see that the red and blue (and most of the the other spectrums) have a much higher percentage in thr CMH. The plants will definitely do better under a 400 watt CMH than a 400 watt HPS. I've found 400 watt HPS...
If your temp is too high, this can decrease the density of your buds. try keeping the temp around 80 degrees or less. Also, if you are running at 12 on 12 off, try running at 10 on 14 off. This should help.
also, CRI has nothing to do with the true spectrum of the sun, it has to do with our visible light spectrum. What we see. the whiter the light the more "we" see. We don't see ultra violet light or the opposite side of the spectrum, but the sun still produces lots of it. Plants could care less...
You don't know what you're talking about. The reason the light is "redder in the fall is because the earth is moving away from the sun. This stretches or lengthens the light waves and creates a red shift. As we get closer to the sun in the spring and early summer, this wave becomes compressed...
Re: High Pressure Metal Halide.. Is this for real?
Don't buy it. If you are looking for a great bulb, use a ceramic metal halide bulb with a standard hps ballast. The light spectrum is the best I have ever seen! I believe this 400 watt bulb will out perform a 1000 watt hps.
hey, what's up? I saw the plant in the back right that wasn't going to make it, but if you had given it lots of water and sprayed the leaves with water a half dozen times a day for a day, it probably would have been ok. A little hint about topping plants. it's usually a good idea to top...
