    When does flowering start?

First day of flower starts as you described: when you observe pistils forming at each calyx. Some strains take 3-4 days to show...others take 5 to 7 days to show. Look for signs of pistil growth and start counting.

    What deficiency is this?

Here's my 2 cents: I used to grow in a 50/50 blend of Peat and Vermiculite buffered with lime and gypsum and I fertigated with GH's FloraGrow series. Each day, I spent at least an hour measuring, mixing and metering the nutes and runoff. That's alot of work over a 4 to 5 month period. I had...

    What deficiency is this?

Thanks...didn't read deeply enough. I try to convert as many liquid salt growers as possible ... just can't help myself.

    What deficiency is this?

Consider the following - plants are classified as "autotrophs" - meaning they feed themselves thanks to photosynthesis and their ability to dump exudates (sugars, starches, protein) into the soil to feed microbial life. So why are you the chef, waiter and busboy for your plants? Why go through...

Pineapple juice or molasses during late flower

Hi I find that most growers are unaware that plants are scientifically classified as autotrophs - they feed themselves and they are self-sufficient in properly enriched living soil. We need them, but they most certainly do not need us to help them grow. Plants feed specific populations of...

Pineapple juice or molasses during late flower

ROFL...that's like the 2nd time I did that. Why the heck do they show those old threads? I need to read more thoroughly....TY!!!

Pineapple juice or molasses during late flower

You do know that your plant is already dumping sugars, protein and starches into the soil from its roots...They're called exudates and they're designed to feed specific microbes that breakdown specific nutes that your plant needs. I'm not sure if more is better or not. Just wanted to make sure...

    GeoFlora Nutrients Discussion Thread

StoneOtter - I'm sorry but I'm growing organically in living soil. All I do is water and occasionally amend so I don't bother keeping grow journals. I got a full pound of Skywalker OG off that rack. I begin tying down branches from the plant's center to the edge of the pot about a week after...

    GeoFlora Nutrients Discussion Thread

I germinate in Peat pellets and transfer the seedling to its permanent 10 gallon home as soon as the tap root exits the bottom of the pellet. Ths helps the tap root seek the bottom of the pot and when that occurs ot begins to double back and create its root ball. Never understood why some...

    GeoFlora Nutrients Discussion Thread

I'm currently growing one plant in a 3x3 using Stonington: Skywalker OG under a Mars Hydro TSW3000 (450w), 10 gallon cloth pot. I also use the Stonington Organic Plant Food, CoM's Fish Bone Meal during flower, their castings and their liquid Squid. They've got a detailed feeding schedule that I...

    Buds looking good

How did the plant come out?

    My plant

3 to 6 ozs max yield. 5 gal would yield 4 to 8 ozs. 7 gallons 6 to 12 ozs and 10 gallon 12 to 16+ ozs. It's all about the root ball size.

    Flowering faster

Provide the best soil, lighting, Temps, humidity, pH and CO2 and your plant will increase its matabolism and grow faster. That won't necessarily speed flowering up, but it will provide you with a larger harvest and potentially more potent buds. You can also veg for a shorter period of time and...
