I've been cloning for many years and have been very successful. I have about a 2% failure rate. I clone in soil and rockwool using the Clone Kit. I don't use a cloning solution. It's not needed and if done incorrectly, the cloning solution can kill the cutting. Although my system works well, it...
I have thought about going organic with my garden but I'm almost there already because I don't use synthetic insecticides.
But here's the deal, My garden is in the house I live in, so the idea of having bat guano teas, manure and other organic supplements under the same roof and 25 feet...
When using a highly reflective surface such as mylar "aiming" the reflection is important. If you cover a vertical wall with mylar, a light located in the ceiling will hit the wall at an angle and reflect back at that same angle. So, the reflected light may travel from the light, bounce off the...
I agree that taking a cutting from a plant that has root rot can be cloned successfully. Keep in mind that the clone will have the same genetics as its mother. So if the mother is genetically susceptible to root rot, so will the clone.
Re: Need to Buy a Clone Machine. Help.
I use the Clone Kit and have near 100% success. It comes with everything you need to clone except the mother plant. From cutting to roots in about 2 1/2 weeks. About $70
The root zone should be 75 degrees. If it's lower then that use a heat mat. I use a Clone Kit for cloning. It comes with a thermometer. I put the thermometer in a rock wool cube or in a soil cup next to the cutting.
In the summer I don't need added heat, but this time of year my garden is...
I have found that if a plant is kept in vegetative growth for to long the plant will become root bound. A root bound plant will become stunted and show signs of flowering.
