I agree that taking a cutting from a plant that has root rot can be cloned successfully. Keep in mind that the clone will have the same genetics as its mother. So if the mother is genetically susceptible to root rot, so will the clone.

I did just this last week. 48 hours total darkness before harvest. I saw no difference.

I've used a postage stamp size piece of orange peel.

I don't take cuttings from a dedicated mother plant. I just take one or two cuttings from each plant in my grow room.

I have found that if a plant is kept in vegetative growth for to long the plant will become root bound. A root bound plant will become stunted and show signs of flowering.
