First time growing. When do I harvest?

2 of them got bugs the other 3 dried out because it got way to hot in my spare room. Also I believe that I didn't water them enough do to being told by everyone not to over water. So I watered them every other day.

I'm running 2 of these

Super basic. Built a 2×5 box 4 feet tall. Painted it white and installed 2 led lights with a fan. Started with 6 plants but now I'm down to 1. It's in a 5gal bucket and is in the middle of the box with lights on both sides and a fan that's directly in front of it.

Thanks for the advice. I tried uploading some pics but for some reason it's not letting me. I originally started with 6 plants and now I'm down to 1. I've definitely learned a lot from trial and error. Surprised I got this far with just using soil from home depot and water from my tap.
