    Hash Hound Sir (Madam?). Many thanks for the follow up reply - good heads up on my first grow to be mindful of spectrum. I've come back from a weeks holiday - my $20 automated irrigation pump has worked wonders and I found that the girls are doing fine. I'll grab a pic later of the growing end...

    Thanks all for your inputs so far. I snipped several more leaves today to see if I could spot anything else unwanted. I also took a pinch of the soil to inspect of anything lurking there. Again, at 40x magnification - all looked very healthy. No sign of a single mite or eggs on leaf or soil...
