    How do u tell if a seed is fertile inside the seed pod?

    I understand how to tell if a seed is fertile after it has been cultivated and in my possesion, but how do i tell that the seed will positively be fertile once removed from the seed pod if i can not see what is inside? any input is greatly appreciated
