Hey 7thSense. Semiosis here. I make a lot of medibles, as it were. I commend you on making a cbd/thc hybrid available--not everyone appreciates how wonderful it can be for things like anxiety. I hear what you're saying. My experience is that tinctures are always going to have that terrible taste, simply because most of the time you're doing what amounts to almost burning off the solvent, but stopping before you're done. Even if it's not particularly harmful, there's really no disguising that acrid tang, regardless of how clean it is. Some people use peppermint oil, and it cuts into it, but meh. You could theoretically add the alcohol tincture to something that's strong enough to disguise that taste, but then you lose the easy dosing and people may not like what you put it into, and you may not want to do that much. One of the things I could suggest you do is to simply finish the process of burning off the oil--either quickly through (no more than 200 degree f) low heat until the mixture stops bubbling or slowly by letting it sit--until you have only pure cannabis oil left, which smells a lot better. Then you could add a small amount of carrier oil it to it in order to be able to work with it--it can get difficult and wasteful to work with pure sticky stuff. For example, an equal small amount of MCT oil, which is supposed to have other health benefits, is also odorless and tasteless. Doing so aids in absorption and makes the medicine a lot more available because it's imbedded in a lipid. Some people simply don't absorb well, and alcohol is not something that sticks around for very long or is very friendly. Maybe you thought of these things already, but I thought I'd chip in.
