Come on guys would like some kind of reply. My new air pump is 951 GPH, 120 volt, 41 watts, When running the external temp of the pump gets up to 112 degrees. All I want to know is, is that normal?
Yes, high GPH air pumps will cause heat especially when they run all the time, I have an eco-air that is 793 GPH and it gets very warm to the touch...pay attention to water temp, they can push warm air into air stones and warm up reservoir a little.
