Actinic Lights Good/Bad?

My question is simply this, what effects if any, would actinic lights have on marijuana plants. The lights are intended for use in aguariums to inhibit coral growth, and other marine plant life. But would actinic lights yield the same results for land based plants, or more specifically marijuana? I myself have the slightest clue . What are your guys' ideas/thoughts.

they are specifically made to stop vegitation, algae and coral growth. They'd for sure kill MJ too.
